Weyland's Visit

On the other side of the door... Hell.

No, no fire and brimstone. A large room, half living room, half office, tastefully decorated and furnished. Thick carpet, a big couch, several recliners, an old-style desk, bookshelves, filing cabinets... and a computer too. Classical music plays in the background and the delicate scent of incense hangs in the air.

The Devil steps aside to let Weyland in enter. No need to make promises of release for him, since he is out of her purview.

"Would you want to try to blend in, be ordinary?" he asks. "In that case, I would say a resort. Otherwise, somewhere more isolated."

"I am never exactly ordinary." She smiles, nuzzling Weyland's neck. "You would like to have me privately, or to parade me around on a leash?" Kinky... but really, burdened with Hell, she likes to relinquish control once in a while.

"Whichever you prefer," he murmurs with a smile. "Though of course... it sounds like you intend to lose, and I would rather it be a challenge."

"It will be a challenge. Even if I intend to lose, I will not throw the matchfor you, dear. You will have to seize it. Conquer it."

Yes, she is challenging him. "Think you can do it?"

"I wouldn't have it any other way," he says, leaning in to kiss her on the forehead. "It will be an interesting match, certainly--I don't know whether I will win, but the trying will be exciting."

She grins and nods. "Good. Shall we return, then? A target must be found for our little game, and I need to prepare to offer a suitable challenge."

[mechanicalswans]

"We shall," he says. "Are we allowed to tell our target who we are, or should we do the tempting anonymously? Let them not know who exactly they are dealing with, though we can offer them all the supernatural impossibilities we like."

"Lets try discretion first. We should elaborate a point system, where revealing our true identities shoudl cause a huge penality... every game is more fun with simple but clear rules."

Specially since the Devil would love breaking said rules.

[mechanicalswans]

"I think we should just... sit at the bar, or a table by the wall, and if any stranger approaches us, he or she will be our target. See whether we can both target someone without scaring them off."

"I suppose that could work too. But people might see us as a couple and not approach for fear of interrupting?" Oh yes, there is that little detail.

[mechanicalswans]

"Liebchen," he says, "you would draw them in anyway, with your radiance. They will come by, I have no doubt of that."

"Flatterer." She laughs, taking his arm. "You like to spoil me, Weyland... why?"

[mechanicalswans]

"Because we are too much alike," he says with a grin. "Because I think we could bring out the very worst in each other, and against my better judgment I think it might be fun."

"Very much against it dear. Very much. But indeed it can be teribly fun." Elevator, and starting up again. "We will have fun, maybe get in trouble, but in the end, it will be amusing."

[mechanicalswans]

"Life is too long and dull," he says. "I look forward to the chance for a little... excitement."

"Very well, then. I am sure we will not lack for excitement in this foray into messing with mortals..." The Devil grins and nods, taking him up and away...

"I haven't had a good competition in quite a while," he says with a smile, leaning back against the wall of the elevator and watching her.

"Oh, that sounds really bad..." The Devil leans back across from him, smiling as her clothing shifts into something Weyland might find a bit more... familiar.

Because teasing is not so much about what you show, but how you do it.

[mechanicalswans]

"You're making me feel overdressed," he murmurs, and takes a drag on his cigarette. "Remind me to pack extra clothing, the next time I come to the bar, so that I will have... other options."

"Can you really blame for enjoying making people react in different ways?" The Devil slinks over and strokes his chin. "Mutable forms are just too fun, dear."

[mechanicalswans]

"I have to work at changing mine," he says, nuzzling her hand. "But I enjoy it. Do you know, I am to take a different form for a little game Melpomene is setting up..."

"A game? Oh, interesting, which kind of game?" She caresses his cheek, her fingers soft and warm.

A deep contrast to the half-frozen real Devil in the pit.

"Not so different from the one we are to have, but... not focused on corruption. It is instead a battle to see who is more effective at manipulating mortals, one of us inspiring them to virtue or one of us luring them to sin."

"I prefer pure temptation... see if they are able to say 'no' to the easy way and the easy prize. The bai that makes them not notice the trap." She tiptoes and kisses him. "That is what I do best, make them forget about consequences."

[mechanicalswans]

"...are you trying that on me?" he murmurs, with a smile. "I am tempted, and I certainly enjoy your company, but I don't think we need to have any games between us, not now, anyway."
