Viva Bedazzled Las Vegas
It is actually a two-step trip: using the door from Milliways lands the couple at Scarlet's place in San Fancisco, but in the same fraction of a second, she wills herself and Weyland to be somewhere else.

"I think I want to be eccentric," he says.

He leads her on a leisurely stroll toward the shops, off the main lobby of the hotel.

Why risk the guests going somewhere else to spend money, right?
Discreetly, The Devil slips a black Amex into Weyland's pocket, whispering... "Your baccarat winnings."

The jewelry isn't really to his tastes--almost no one makes jewelry anymore that is to his tastes, and he can make it just as well himself--but he wants to buy things for her, to let her show off. He wants her to feel cared-for, even if the money comes so easily and without effort.
"You have such lovely skin--I think yellow gold would look best on you."

A pause, and a smile.
"Although that could be fun... in private."

"Behold... the Bringer of Light."
And the kiss itself would be a very, very scandalous thing that leaves everybody who witnesses it tingling with Lust or seething with Envy. Or both.

Yes, let people feel Lust and Envy. It's only fair. They are in the presence of the divine.

Right? "Thank you." She is happy, genuinely happy, showing a twinkle and shine of something...
Something good, warm and tender.

"Thank you," he whispers.

Anything.

He finishes his drink, and sets the empty glass down on the pedestal of a column nearby.
Well, let anyone try to tell him he can't.
"I've never gone looking for pearls, actually. Just bought them from others."

"So, pearl market a few centuries past, before we return to our gambling trip?"
no subject
Really, if a man can't find anything to stir his lust with her, of all creatures...
"That sounds perfect. We have gold to pay for the pearls."
no subject
Adventure, sin and indulgence, she hardly could be enjoying herself more.

He hasn't done anything like this in a long time. Far too long.
And she is the best possible company for this kind of trouble.
